April Birthstone, Diamond for an April Birthday – Diamond Life!
Well aren't you the lucky ones, you April babies!!! I
imagine you are feeling quite smug with your birthstone being the Diamond! Well I
certainly can't blame you. Being a jewelry designer I am in love with every single diamond in all of the world of course! Below I have a few unique offerings for you to celebrate your birth.
The last few years I have developed a
love affair with stunning rustic Herkimer Diamond and raw, rough
diamonds in general. My most recent diamond purchase was a calico

March Birthstone, Aquamarine for a March Birthday

Folklore says that if you put Aquamarine under your pillow you will soon make new friends and find more affection in your life. This is my favorite aspect of this gem!
Unlike many gems, Aquamarine gems are often completely flawless. Aquamarines with visible flaws are rarely seen. The costs of producing synthetic Aquamarine are very high when compared to the relative abundance of this gem, so lab Aquamarine is generally not produced for the gemstone market.
Aquamarine is the birthstone for Aquarius and Pisces.

February Birthstone Jewelry, Amethyst Jewelry for a February Birthday.
Who does not LOVE gorgeous Amethyst!? This stone is just dreamy. It has magical properties too. You can read more about that at the bottom of this post.
I have several lovely Amethyst pieces in my store, the necklace below is a rich, sexy AAA Amethyst Pear Shape Briolette gem in sterling silver with an Amethyst CZ star charm:
This bracelet is from my Heirloom line. It features a parade of AAA Amethyst and luminous pearls. The sides of the bracelet are tiny pure silver Hill Tribe beads and you have highly detailed pure silver Hill Tribe heart beads at the back:

Bacchus, the God of wine was angry because of some slight against him and swore revenge. He announced that the first mortal to come across his path would be eaten by tigers. Just at that moment along came the lovely maiden Amethyst, on her way to worship at the shrine of the goddess Diana. Diana saw what was happening and transformed Amethyst into stone to rescue her from a violent death. When Bacchus viewed the miracle, he repented by pouring wine over the stone, staining it purple. This is the legendary creation of the gemstone Amethyst.
